Nikolay Khozyainov Fantasy on Ballet "Parade" by E. Satie
Fantasy on Ballet “Parade” by E. Satie was written to be performed at a concert themed around Sergei Diaghilev, the founder of legendary Ballets Russes. The original work recreates the bustling parade of a sideshow barker, making striking use of non-musical instrumental sounds such as a typewriter and a foghorn. The place is full of poignant love. Butterfly can hardly control herself as she is so overwhelmed with emotions. The night has been growing darker and darker, but Butterfly keeps waiting for her beloved like she has been doing for the last 3 years. She is not sleeping; she doesn’t want to miss the... Read more
